Introduction
In today’s world, where the pace of digital innovation accelerates daily, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our lives. It enhances our work, learning, and even improves our communication skills. If you frequently present projects or engage in negotiations, the ability to communicate effectively is a key skill that can be sharpened through AI technologies.
Task
Improving communication skills has always been a challenging process, typically requiring time and practice. In the past, people would rehearse in front of mirrors or engage in imaginary dialogues. However, traditional methods no longer meet the demands of today, where real negotiations and presentations require quick adaptation and confidence. This has created the need for a tool that allows for rapid and effective enhancement of communication skills, taking into account real-world conditions and scenarios.
Solution
In collaboration with CTRL/ART/D, we developed a VR simulator that allows users to enhance their interpersonal and business communication skills in virtual reality. This immersive tool simulates real negotiation scenarios, enabling interaction with NPC avatars across various settings. Users can select environments, such as a meeting room or a business center elevator, set the conversation topic, and choose the difficulty level.
A key feature of the simulator is the use of AI to model real-time dialogues. The avatars analyze the user’s responses and reply according to a communication model. This allows users to gain new experiences with each session, practicing over 100 different scenarios. Additional features, such as voice and motion tracking, provide feedback and enable users to assess their communication progress.
The VR simulator has broad potential applications across various fields—from customer support and sales to employee training—thereby streamlining routine business processes and enhancing communication effectiveness.
